Vim Lady reacts to assault on Umaru Sanda, says the IGP must Explain
The head of Programs at the Despite Media Group, Afia Pokua aka Vim Lady has reacted to the assault on Umaru Sanda Amadu by some Officers of the Ghana Police Service.
In her reaction to the news, Afia Pokua indicated that, she thought she has suffered but Umaru Amadu Sanda has also suffered.
The renowned media personality further added that when she and Investigative Journalist Ana’s Aremeyaw Anas retire from journalism, journalists like Umaru can confidently continue the trade.
She further called on the Inspector General of Police, Mr. James Oppong Boanua to explain the assault on journalist by some of his Police Officers.
“I say I SUFFER but Umaru Sanda too don suffer for Ghana! At least when Anas
and I retire, journalists like Umaru Sanda can confidently continue. The IGP has to
explain RRAY”, Vim Lady added.
Umaru Amadu Sanda, a journalist with Citi TV and FM has been trending on social media after a video of him surfaced online which indicates how he was verbally and physically assaulted by some Officers of the Ghana Police Service.
In the Video, Umaru had a scuffle with some Officers of the Special Weapons and Anti-robbery Team of the Ghana Police Service who searched his car, pocket, and shoes for drugs and weapons.
