A journalist with Citi TV and FM Umaru Sanda Amadu has thrown a jab at the supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress.

According to Umaru Sanda, the opposition National Democratic Congress would have had at least 138 seats in Parliament to settle the debate of Majority or Minority if the Party’s supported has put in much more energy.

In a tweet, Umaru Sanda Amadu indicated that, if the party supporters of the National Democratic Congress across the country had used the energy they are using to insult him and other Journalists now in campaigning in the 2020 Parliamentary Election.

Mr. Umaru Sanda Amadu in his tweet said “Dear NDC Supporters, If you had spent half the energy you’re using to insult me and other journalists on the campaigns of  2020, the party would have won at least, 138 seats with UNRIGABLE MARGINS so that this debate about MAJORITY and MINORITY wouldn’t arise.

Umaru Sanda Amadu insults NDC supporters

The Parliament of Ghana is currently facing a challenge of determining which of the Political Parties should form Majority in the house.

In that 2020 Presidential election, the National Democratic Congress obtained 137 seats and the New Patriotic Party also obtained 137 seats with one Independent seat.

The independent Member of Parliament for the Fomena Constituency has indicated that he will sit the New Patriotic Party in Parliament during business transactions.

However, during the election of the Speaker of Parliament, the opposition National Democratic Congress’ then speaker nominee, Hon. Kingsley Alban Sumana defeated the New Patriotic Party’s Speaker nominee Hon. Mike Oquaye.

The results of the Speakership shows that some Members of Parliament on the side of the New Patriotic Party voted in favour of the National Democratic Congress’ candidate against their own Party’s nominee.
