Two teacher groups have petitioned the Commission on Human Rights and Adminstrative Justice—CHRAJ to Investigate the price of the TMI laptops being procured for Teachers by Government.
In their petition to CHRAJ on 8th March, 2021, the Association alleged that the price of the Laptops have been inflated by a whopping GH¢950.00.
According to the Teachers Trade Union—All Teachers Alliance Ghana and Innovative teachers, “the highest price for this TMI laptop in our estimation must not be more than 600 Ghana cedis given the specifications of this laptop and the colossal number of 280,000 laptops” as against the GH¢1,550 quoted by Government.
The All Teachers Alliance Ghana has therefore called on the Commission on Human Rights and Adminstrative Justice requesting for an investigation into of the procurement of the two hundred and eighty thousand (280,000).
