My new Portfolio is Challenging but I will make the Country Proud – Sarah Adwoa Safo

Sarah Adwoa Safo has described her new portfolio as Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection as challenging.

Sarah Adwoa Safo was nominated by President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo to serve as Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection in his second term as President.

Following her nomination, she was vetted and approved by the appointments committee of Parliament and has been sworn in as Minister by the President.

Following her swearing in as Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Serah Adwoa Safo said eventhough her new portfolio is a challenging one, she will make the country proud.

In a tweet, Sarah Adwoa Safo said;

“challenging portfolio to secure a better future for the Children and Women of our Country. For the trust reposed in me, I will
make God and Country proud.”

Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo who is a lawyer by Profession also is the Member of Parliament for the Dome Kwabenya Constituency.

In President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s first term, Sarah Adwoa Safo was appointed Minister of State in charge of Government Procurement in 2017.
