“My light is off. My water is not flowing. But, I am told not to complain” – Johnie Hughes laments

Television show host with Media General, Mr. Johnie Hughes has lamented over the power and water supply situation in the country.

According to the renowned journalist, even though he does not have electricity or water, has been told not to complain even though he does not have this basic amenities.

He further added that, some young people in the country have been tied to the politcal apron strings of retirees.

In a tweet, Mr. Johnie Hughes

My light is off. My water is not flowing. But, I am told not to complain. And guess those asking me not to? Young people tied to politcal apron strings of retirees. Whew!

The unstable supply of electricity popularly called DUMSOR has resurfaced in the country which has got many Ghanaians complaining.

However, the Minister in charge of Energy, Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has responded to the claims that the country is going back to the Dark days  of DUMSOR.

The Energy Minister explained that the unstable supply of power is caused by a technical problem that the Electricity distribution company is facing and that situation will be rectified soon.
