MTN Ghana says Salma Mumin lied that ¢10,000 was Stolen from her Momo wallet
Mobile Telecommunications Network, MTN Ghana says Salma Mumin lied that ¢10,000 was stolen from her Mobile Money wallet without her Consent.
On 22nd October, 2020 Salma Mumin in an Instagram Post indicated that an amount of ¢10,000 was withdrawn from her Momo wallet without her concern.
In a rejoinder from MTN Ghana to Salma Mumin’s Instagram post, MTN Ghana indicated that the claims she made in her post are false and misleading to the public and the poster’s Instagram followers.
MTN Ghana in their rejoinder also demand that Salma Mumin immediately apologize to MTN Ghana within 24 hours of this publication.
In a statement on the officially verified Facebook page of MTN Ghana wrote;
post on MTN MoMo.
We refer to an instagram post published on the 22nd day of October, 2020@salmamumin. The post read, “MTN KEEP SAYING NOBODY CAN WITHDRAW YOUR
MONO ACCOUNT WITHOUT YOUR CONCERN BUT JUST FOUND OUT MY over 10,000 cedis from my
business mono account has been taken… MTN IS NOT SAFE ANYMORE”
The post further sought to allege that MTN Staff have stolen the poster’s money.
We wish to state categorically and for the records that the claims made in the post are false and misleading to the public and the poster’s Instagram followers.
As @Salmamumin is very much aware, the said amount was not in her MoMo Merchant Wallet and no money had been taken from her MoMo Merchant Wallet as claimed.
She has been engaged on this leading to the apparent deletion of the said post.
By this rejoinder, we demand that @Salmamumin immediately apologize to MTN Ghana within 24 hours of this publication.
The apology must state clearly that her claims that MTN Ghana had taken money from her wallet was false and given same prominence as that of her initial post failing which the business will be
compelled to take legal action against her.
