“Kufour, Mills and Mahama made Ghana attractive to Twitter” – Manasseh Azure Awuni
Renowned investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has reacted to Twitter’s decision to establish an operational headquarters in Ghana .
In his reaction to the news, the investigative journalist indicated that former Presidents who led the country in the past contributed to Twitter’s decision to open their Africa Office in Ghana.
According to Manasseh Azure Awuni, some ex Presidents of the country promoted free speech and that made Ghana attractive to the social media Giant—Twitter.
The former Presidents of Ghana who promoted free speech according to Manasseh are;
Former Presidents John Agyekum Kufour, John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills and John Dramani Mahama. However, missing from Manasseh Azure Awuni’s lost is the late former President Jerry John Rawlings and the current President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
In a post, Manasseh Azure Awuni said;
“Kudos to JA Kufuor, Atta Mills, John Mahama and all who have promoted free speech and made us attractive to the likes of Twitter.”
The founder of Tweeter Jack on 12th April, 2021 announced that tweeter will be opening an operational headquarters in Africa and specifically in Ghana.
