Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful in tears as she looses 3 friends to Covid-19 in a week

Former Minister for Communications Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful who is also the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency is in ‘tears’ as she sadly lost three (3) friends to Covid-19 in one week. 

Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful who has been advising his followers to comply with the Covid-19 preventive protocols disclosed that, she lost three (3) of her friends in one week due to the Covid-19.

In a post, the Ablekuma West lawmaker indicated that Covid-19 which has now been classified as a pandemic is fast spreading in the Communities in the country.

She further advised his followers to  stay safe simple precautions, such as physical distancing, wearing a mask, keeping rooms well ventilated, avoiding crowds, washing your hands, and coughing into a bent elbow or tissue among others.

In a Facebook post, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful said

“I lost 3 friends to COVID last week. COVID-19 is fast spreading in our communities, kindly stay safe by taking some simple precautions, such as physical distancing, wearing a mask, keeping rooms well ventilated, avoiding crowds, washing your hands, and coughing into a bent elbow or tissue (dispose immediately).

Stay at home if you begin to feel unwell, even with mild symptoms such as headache and slight runny nose, until you recover.

If you develop fever, cough and difficulty in breathing, seek medical advice promptly.”

BACKGROUND

Ghana recorded it’s first case of the Covid-19 virus in March 2020 which compelled President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo to take some drastic measures to help curb the spread of the virus.

The President then directed and all schools, Cinemas, night clubs, churches, the country’s airports a partial lockdown of some areas in the country.

Following the easing of such restrictions, the number of Covid-19 cases have been increasing I’m the country.
