Floods in Kumasi : We are reaping the seed we sowed

As it’s anything but a custom in this country, numerous urban areas in the nation get overwhelmed by floods each raining season.

One of the urban areas in the country that has been trending in the wake of getting overwhelmed vigorously by floods is the Capital city of the Ashanti Region, Kumasi.

Following the floods, a well known pro-Kumasi Facebook page called Meye Asanteni has uncovered that individuals of Kumasi are harvesting the seed they planted 10 years prior.

As indicated by the report, individuals of Kumasi are procuring the seed we planted 10 years prior due to siting of unapproved structures, offer of streams, foulness among others.

In a post, the page said “Floods in Kumasi: We are reaping the seed we sowed a decade ago: unauthorized structures, filth, sale of waterways, sale of portions of Subin, diversion of the subin, containers everywhere, indiscipline etc.

We are reaping what you sowed.”
