Dr. Oko Boye resumes consultations at the Lekma Hospital Despite his Defeat
The defeated Members of Parliament for the Ledzokuku Constituency, Dr. Bernard Oko Boye has resumed consultations at Lekma Hospital despite his defeat.
Dr. Bernard Oko Boye who is the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku Constituency who also doubles as the deputy Minister for Health lost his Parliamentary seat to NDC’s Benjamin Ayiku during this year’s Parliamentary elections.
However, the defeat of Dr. Bernard Oko Boye came to many Ghanaians as a shock since many Citizens think he has Performed well as the Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku.
Inspite of his defeat, Dr. Bernard Oko Boye has not given up on helping to provide the people of Ledzokuku with good health Care at the Lekma hospital as he was at the hospital to undertake his usual Monday consultations.
According to Dr. Bernard Oko Boye, some staff of the hospital were happy to see him in good spirit after his defeat and others were surprised to see him active and in good spirit when he turned up for work on Monday morning.
In a Facebook post, Dr. Bernard Oko Boye wrote;
“First post election Monday consultations at the Lekma Hospital. Some staff were happy to see me doing fine, some surprised at my activity having assumed that not winning the Parliamentary election meant away with community service.
It is important to understand that the joy a true Leader experiences does not lie in the position he holds but in the Service his people receive.
I thank God that you do not have to necessarily hold a position to assist others experience a better world.
Because He lives, we can face tomorrow.”
