A signboard sighted at an unknown location in the country says betting is forbidden according to Islam.

As all Muslims  across the world begins their thirty (30) days fasting and prayers popularly called Ramadan, they have been cautioned against betting.

According to Quoran verse that is placed on the billboard sighted by gambling must be avoided because it is from Satan.

Quoran 5: 90 reads;

“O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful.”
